The KIQ Welfare Program exists to ensure that no Kenyan in Queensland faces hardship alone. It provides structured, transparent, and compassionate support during times of crisis, while strengthening community responsibility and unity.
The program is donation-based and funded by KIQ members, reflecting the belief that collective care builds a stronger, more resilient community.

How the Program Is Funded
The Welfare Program is funded through member contributions.
As part of the KIQ Silver Membership, a portion of the monthly subscription fee is allocated as a donation to the KIQ Welfare Fund.
This shared contribution model ensures:

What the Program Supports
The program focuses on short-term, high-impact assistance in clearly defined situations:

Medical Emergencies
Critical illness, accidents, hospitalisation, or urgent medical intervention. -
Bereavement Support
Loss of an immediate family member, locally or in Kenya, including partial funeral and repatriation support where applicable. -
Sudden Crisis & Hardship
Unexpected events such as job loss due to injury, housing emergencies, or family displacement.

Application & Verification
Requests are submitted through an official welfare form, reviewed confidentially by the Welfare Committee. -
